Ms. Ann McClellan, community advocate, will join the WST Lrn C community for dinner and discussion. Ms. McClellan is working on developing a family violence prevention app. For service providers working with abusers, the app will include the availability of Family Violence Intervention Program (FVIP) locations, number of spaces available, and the facilitator’s contact information. No victim information will be stored or accessible on the app, only information on how to support violence families and practical resources for service providers to use in working with these families.
VOICE is pleased to announce that the annual Take Back the Night event will be held this year at 7:30pm on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Divine 9 Plaza on Georgia Tech’s campus. As you may know, Take Back the Night is a candlelight vigil dedicated to honoring and elevating the voices of survivors of sexual and relationship violence in our community by giving survivors the opportunity to tell their stories in-person or anonymously. This annual event serves as an important pillar of survivor support on campus, and will be followed by a march through campus in solidarity with those in the GT community who have experienced harm. Details about Take Back the Night (and other Sexual Assault Awareness Month initiatives) can be found at https://wellnesscenter.gatech.edu/voice/saam
